Aam Khas Bagh was built in Sirhind by the Moghul Emperor Akbar in 16th century and improved by Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The garden is divided into two parts: AAM and KHAS; AAM for public and KHAS for the use of Emperors. The garden is about one and a half mile in area. Emperors used to stay here while going to and coming from Lahore.
At present, a Tourist Complex known as 'MAULASARI' is being run in the Aam Khas Bagh drawing lots of tourists. There are many monuments in the garden like, Hamaams (Bathrooms), Daulat-Khana-E-Khas (Sheesh Mahal), Harrem and Talab. Hamaams had underground furnaces for hot water and steam baths and a complex system of earthen channels in the walls.
During the famous Jorh Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib, the light and sound programme regarding the history of Sirhind and the martyrdom of younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh is shown to the visitors at night in the Aam Khas Bagh.
