Coonoor is a hill station in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India at an altitude of 4,928 feet and is known for its Nilgiri tea production. The people of Coonoor entirely depend on the tea trade. Tea leaves are picked, processed and packaged in bulk in local factories for sale in Coonoor, Cochin and Coimbatore. Coonoor is among the beautiful places in Tamil Nadu, therefore attracts large number of tourists during summer.

The main attraction of coonoor is Sims park, having thousand varieties of trees, plants and flowers and a small lake.
