About Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, extending over an area of over 1,940-sq-kms. The prominent feature of this region's attention-grabbing landscape is the horseshoe shape valley and the entire park area is bordered by the spurs of the Mekal.
Like other Tiger Reserves in India Kanha National Park is one which also preserve this beautiful beast. There are packs of spotted deer to be seen with smaller herds of the beautiful Antelope and the Black Buck. There is also a very strong likelihood of spotting the Rare Barasingha, the Swamp Deer. There were just 66 of these in Kanha, but vigilant preservation and management moved up their population to over 400.
