Ingredients
For the dish
4-5 ripe mangoes
1/2 tbsp haldi
1/2 bowl of gur, grated
1/2 coconut, grated
3-4 green chillies
1/2 tsp jeera seeds
1 cup thick curd
For the tadka
1-2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
2-3 dried red chillies
1 tsp methi seeds
Method
1. Cut mangoes into pieces and add two cups water, haldi, gur and salt to taste and boil this for about 10 minutes. Set aside.
2. Grind grated coconut, jeera seeds, green chillies into a fine paste and add to the cooked mango.
3. Add curd slowly and mix well.
4. Let the dish simmer on low flame for 10 minutes. 5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed, curry leaves, red chillies and methi seeds.
6. Pour it on to the cooked mangoes and mix well.
