INGREDIENTS
Chana dal 2 cups
Tomato pieces 1
Cumin seeds 1t/s
Red chili Powder 1/2 t/s
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 t/s
Sugar 1 t/s
Oil 4 t/s
Salt to taste.
GROUND TO PASTE
Onion chopped 1
Ginger 1 t/s
Turmeric Powder 1/2 t/s
Green chilies 2-3
Curry Leaves 2 t/s
PROCEDURE
Rinse chana dal for 2 to 3 hours, Take rinsed dal in a container and add 2 1/2 cup of water , Keep this dal inside a cooker and boil it, Grind Masalas into paste, Heat oil and put cumin seeds , Ground masala, and fry it 3 minutes, Ground Tomato into paste and add it to the mixture , Add chili Powder, Sugar and salt and fry it Add Garam Masala Powder and mix it well . Chole is ready for serving with Chapatis, paratha, roti etc..
