Goan Fish Pulao

Ingredients
Rice - 2cups
Mussels or shell fish - 1cup
Finely chopped big onion - 1
Finely chopped tomato - 1
Ground green chillies - 3
Red chilies - 4
Bay leaves - 3
Cinnamon - 1"piece
Cloves - 3
Cardamoms - 4
Turmeric - 1/2tsp
Red chilli powder - 1tsp
Oil - 3tbs
Salt to taste

Directions

Wash and soak rice for 1/2hour. Drain.

Heat oil in a pan. Saute bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms and red chilies. Add green chilli paste and stir for a minute. Add onions and saut� till golden.

Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 2 minutes. Add the shell fish or mussels and fry for 5 minutes. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and fry for 7-10 minutes.

Add rice and 3 cups of water and mix well. Cover the pan and cook till rice is done. Serve hot.
