Ingredients
Cleaned and deveined prawns - 1cup
Deseeded green chillies - 4
Sliced onion - 1
Coconut milk - 1cup
Water - 1/2cup
Coriander seeds - 1tbs
Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
Garlic - 6flakes
Dry red chillies - 10
Peppercorns - 4
Garlic - 1/2"piece
Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
Tamarind pulp - 1tbs
Water - 2cups
Salt - to taste
Directions
1. Marinate the prawns with the salt, green chillies and onion for half an hour.
2. Grind all the other ingredients except tamarind pulp and 2cups water. Mix the ground masala with 2cups of water in a pan and boil on medium flame. When the mixture reduces to half of its quantity, add marinated prawns and tamarind pulp. Add salt if needed. Stir well and cook for 10 minutes.
