Ingredients:-
Fish - 1/2 lb
Onion - 2
Green chillies - 3-4
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger - 1 small size
Garlic - 1 pod
Coriander bunch - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
salt to taste
Preparation method:-
Make a fine paste of garlic, ginger, mustard, coriander, chillies, tumeric and salt to a fine paste. Clean the fish pieces and wash it clearly, coat it thickly with the above paste and keep for an hour. Fry the fish lightly and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, put fenugreek and add chopped onions. Sauté till onions turn pink.Add the remaining spices and cook it.Add water and bring it to a boil.Then put fish in it and cook for 5 minutes.Garnish with coriander leaves or curry leaves and serve fish curry hot with steamed rice.
