THE UNFORGETTABLE QUEST

Hardika was playing with her friends one sunny afternoon. It was a warm, beautiful day and the girls were enjoying themselves very much. Suddenly the ball they were playing with began to roll away. 'Oh! I'll get it!' Hardika said and ran after. Chasing it she suddenly came upon something she had never seen before. There was an old wooden door, covered in leaves. It was half open and the ball rolled inside. Hardika hesitated as she didn't know what was behind the mysterious door. But she had to get the ball. After some thought she walked in through the door and the door shut by itself.
She saw the ball rolling down the hallway to the kitchen. She followed it but suddenly all the crockery started falling and breaking down. She got scared and ran out of there. The ball then flew upstairs and she followed it. There were too many rooms there and the ball was no more in her sight. She went on looking in every room until she found the ball beside the bed in a room. She moved forward to reach it when the chair started rocking. Even though she was scared, she picked up the ball and ran downstairs. The chimney lit up by itself with large flickering flames and the windows banged making earsplitting sounds. As soon as Hardika moved out of the door it shut with a bang. She then ran towards her friends restlessly.
Her friends were astonished by her presence with torridness on her face. Ridhima, her best friend, asked her, "Why are you so terrified? What happened? Where were you for so long?" Hardika then narrates her whole adventure in the dark house to her buddies. This becomes a memorable quest in her life.
