Sad Demise

I was shocked to hear the news. No it can't be true.
I can't believe that my friend of the past 15 years was no more.
The way she was finished was devastating. My colleague was on the other end of the phone describing the course of events.
He was so much in distress and was trying to prove his innocence and his helplessness in avoiding such a situation.
But I couldn’t hear a single word he was saying. I was dumbfounded. Promising to talk about it tomorrow I asked him to cool down.
I was relieved to end the conversation.
I couldn't sleep that night. Everything came to my mind in a flashback. I met her 15 years back while I was in my 9th class. From the first time I met her in Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East, till this date she has been my close friend and have given me companionship in all my trips.
She has toured all the beautiful places with me and have captured every beautiful moment in my life along with me.
Even the darkest of moments have been made bright by her flashy smile and she was so ravishing in her red dress that all my friends admired her. This was the first time she was travelling without me. I asked her to accompany my colleague only because I could not go along with them due to some other pressing matters.
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. But her images came haunting in my dreams. I just wanted the night to give way for the morning sun so that I could see her for the last time.
"I was just trying to get into the bus when suddenly my bag fell down from my shoulders.." my colleague was describing the event to all of us.
He continued: "...the bus was moving back to its position and my bag went straight under the bus. Though I jumped down from the steps and tried to get the bag, already the bag was ran over by the bus. It was all over in a few seconds.
I’m really sorry, I don’t know what to do now."
Sadly I took her in my hands. She was still in her red dress but battered and bruised all over. The bus ran over through her chest but still she was in one piece.
I couldn’t help but weep when I saw the last roll of the film in her also washed and developed lying very neatly near her.
My red PANASONIC auto-focus camera had done her job even in those last moments.
